zootopia is more than a cartoon

Last night I watched the cartoon movie "zootopia". It is so inspiring and interesting that I immediately fell in love with it. Following are my favourite points:

1. "never try anything new, you'll never fail" vs "try everything". The truth is, humans tend to live in their comfort zones, which are in agreement with Fermat principle (always looking for the shortest route). Be happy with what you have seems not a new idea, but is key to mental health. Because the human brain wants to be consistent, stable and focus. Simply put, in the internet era of explosive growth of human knowledge, you just don't have enough time and money to try anything new. From the perspective of time management, don't try anythings new as a consumer, but do try something new as a producer. When you encounter new difficulties, try it. But don't waste your time trying fancy stuff. Your living style is good enough. But learning something new in a more constructive way in never enough.

2. "anyone can be anything". In other words, don't set limitation on yourself. The secular society has already set various visible and invisible barriers on you. These rules are not necessarily right because they may be out-dated. A simple example is, in the past, a person change his nationality will be regarded as treason. But today, as long as you don't sell the prior government's top secret, you are free to become a citizen of any country.

3. "no one cares about her or her dreams". This word is from the fox, who was deeply hurt when he was young. Every adult has a childhood, and most childhood dreams are beaten by the cruel facts and disheartening words. In the old time when there is limited food and resources, humans from different origins have to fight for that. But nowadays, we should upgrade our mind and focus on the things that are more important for our humans. Which one is more important seems to vary from person to person.

4. It's actually a very smart way to address the human problem in the animals' eyes. About the political correctness, the social justice, and more.
